The word idiosyncratic seems to have been invented to describe the oeuvre of The Legendary Pink Dots. The originally British experimental rock band was founded in the late 1970s. The Legendary Pink Dots settled in the Netherlands in the mid-1980s. Their style is often described as an amalgam of psychedelic rock, industrial, experimental rock, synth-pop and avant-garde. The band has released more than 40 albums, countless cassettes & EPs and still regularly tours the world. They have been a major influence on groups such as The Dresden Dolls, MGMT and Skinny Puppy. Thursday, February 9, 2023, The Legendary Pink Dots will be back in Amsterdam for the first time in a long time!
